Who is Emma Hakansson?

Emma is an activist, passionate about collective liberation. She is particularly interested in total ethics fashion, anti-speciesism, child sexual abuse prevention and autonomy for all.

She writes articles and books (Total Ethics Fashion, Sub-Human, How Veganism Can Save Us), and is the founding director of the charity Collective Fashion Justice, dedicated to fashion putting people, our fellow animals and the planet we share ahead of profit.

Emma works with Australian Childhood Foundation, which launched what started Emma’s Project (now collaboratively renamed by fellow survivors to Our Collective Experience Project) in 2022. Her short films, Willow and Claude and SHIRINGA have won awards internationally.
